Took me about 45 minutes to an hour to do the initial upgrade, and a few days of exchanging emails to figure out what I had done wrong. When prying trim off, more force than you might think could be required. ![]() Same with removing keys from MIB1 / screen. When routing cables from glovebox to center console, I struggled for 20 minutes trying to start in the center console. I was able to get the cable routed within 10 minutes of starting on glovebox side. Put the two connectors that need to go through together, push them into the cable routing channel on the glove box side and then use the stiffness of the larger cable to push them through far enough to grab from the center console side with some digging around. When reconnecting your old / new unit, just because a cable isn't mentioned in the guide doesn't mean it doesn't exist. ![]() I'm sure Bill may update this, but the gray cable goes into the gray slot and isn't called out in the manual (probably because the colors line up).
